Re-adapting
OK, this post shall be dedicated to the one and only Sa (because i owe her HAHA).
On a side note: seriously, who else would be so awesome as to lug an entire series of percy jackson books to your house when you only requested for the first book? :) whee~
Anyway, we are nearing the end of the 2 week extension of my MC a.k.a one whole month of rotting at home. To be honest its only in the past week that I actually start to realise how fortunate I am to be able to hobble around doing nothing for so long. Oh well, lets not speak too early because if they put me up for recourse i'll be cursing and banging head :X
I was rather lonely this period as well, everyone else had to go on with life while I was stuck in limbo. The first 2 weeks mainly consisted of trying out every new game on the market and any random shows i could get my hands on (I'm watching this series that SA got me hooked on but i'm ashamed to say its name so i'll only give a clue: its name has 2 syllabus). Weekends were still the highlight cause they meant SA came over to accompany me! Things kinda changed when she brought many many books over cause I became so absorbed in them that WHOA I'M GOING BACK TO CAMP NEXT WEEK ?! DRATZ! How i'm supposed to adapt back to army life, i honestly have no idea >.<
BREAK TIME CAUSE MUM JUST TEMPTED ME WITH COFFEE AND YEA, I'M A TOTAL COFFEE JUNKIE. MILK TEA TOO. oh wait, milk tea has caffeine too eh? oh well, YOLO!!!
As you can see now, life is Aaaaaaawesome :) 'cep the fact that I cant go out and utilize my free time like i do on weekends. One good thing about staying home is that i caught up on all the current events (because i had too much time on my hands) and this is seriously one thing the army deprives you of because any time you had would be spent sleeping or doing something with your friends you can only do in sispec ;)
Got the sims 3 game for my sis ( don't ask how ) and SA got hooked on it too but looking at her play makes me fear for my life because she's practically a puppet master (cue evil laughter). Just kidding haha, kinda amusing when she stresses over managing her virtual household haha!
Hobbled to the park with her, which i really treasured because i've been cooped up for so long? but bishan park is kinda boringggg especially since most dog owners don't bring their doggies to the...dog playing ground (?) at night so there was nothing to watch and we just enjoyed our macflurry from the Macs outside the park.
Actually one other reason for blogging is to make sure my brain hasn't gone retarded since army doesn't require much intellect. Just wondering if when we resume studying will our brains still be hibernating LOL.
Don't think so though, since army stresses it constantly. Yupps, you heard right. S-T-R-E-S-S
Not something you'll expect to hear from an nsf? In the army every force preparation and outfield will have you digging your belonging making sure every small items like your first aid dressing or I.d. tag is there because one moment of forgetfulness and your weekends will be a distant dream :\
Similary, make a mistake and poof you're screwed.
Or maybe its biased, since this is coming from a guy who thinks weekends are so sacred they should be left UNTOUCHED. yups, you can imagine how ( freak i can't find an adjective omg my english is deteriorating umm how about "strongly") i protect my weekends.
Damn, am i getting paranoid or what.
Alright i've paid my debt so i shall be off to....OH WAIT IS THAT THE SMELL OF WAFFLES?
Tea time!
Lastly, special thanks to my buddy J and anyone else who has helped me settle my army stuff while i'm at home enjoying guiltlessly haha!
Most importantly, to the girl who never complained about making the long journey to my house every weekend, thank you :)
