a chronology of thoughts.
welcome
Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.

Back!

Going to NS in 2 weeks time! Been so long since I blogged and I'll probably have like only one or two more post before my freedom is robbed from me >.< Cant say I'm looking foward to NS but I'll just have to make the best of it! :)

Past few days, I've been desperately making full use of what pathetic amount of time I have left Haha.

Ok, Lets start off with fabulous trip to da zoo with Sa =)
Our zoo is really getting more and more interesting, with a lot of animals roaming around instead of being in their cages. Really, you'll see lots of monkeys on branches directly on top of you while there's this area with lotsa ducks and peacocks waddling around aimlessly but they siam very fast when you get near HAHAHA.
Ohoh, theres this balcony whereby right outside the railings hangs half a dozen FREAKISHLY BIG BATS like RIGHT in front of you, within touching distance. If I remember correctly they're the biggest bats in the world, found in Malaysia (forgot the name though :/ ) Anyway, thank goodness they're fruit bats but trust me, you still wouldn't wanna touch them....cause they're wayyyyyy bigger than your face.

At the very same balcony, there's this really ancient sloth just lying there and not giving a damn about all the people walking around it. Tried and take pictures with it but whenever I get near it glares at me in a you-wouldn't-wanna-do-that manner. But Sa just went ahead and poke/prod it HAHAHAHAHA. Apparently its the "grandfather" there and its 28 years old. Oh did i mention we fed the giraffes? They have these super long and big tongues which are BLUE like nightcrawler from X-men. Weird much. Oh, its not free btw, u gotta pay 5 freakin' bucks for like 5 slices of carrots and yam. Sa kept trying to catch butterflies in the 'fragile forest' and she actually succeeded rofl.
AND WE TOTALLY DIDNT SEE THE TAPIR WHICH I WANTED TO GO SEE (Yes Sa ur fault haha)

Thats what a Tapir looks like btw.

Amidst the hundreds of animals at the zoo, Sa's favourite was the leopard cat (quite sure) while mine was the cheetah. Would've been the polar bears but their home is undergoing renovation so...
Going to the zoo was totally worth the 20 bucks admission ticket and unlike in the past, you really cant smell the stink of animal faeces and everything is just super organized. We rushed through it but you can totally spend half the day there to scour through every single animal enclosure so that YOU WONT MISS THE TAPIR LIKE ME =.=

Lastly, apparently the cheetah cat can be found in tekong and the girl was suggesting I catch one back for her LOL whut.
Ok, backtracking time.

Went to army market with ben on thurs and this aunty gave us a lesson on army life while trying to intimidate us with the shit other people got into haha. In the end we bought some extra supplies and decided not to buy extra attires cause asked around and not sure if needed.

Went with HW to buy mobiles phones and got this lau ya pok phone with a spare batt haha cost me like 58 >.<

Watched hunger games with Sa the previous fri (finally) and I think the show was not bad but harry potter better :)

Met up with SH TS WW at prata house and just chat lo.

And way way way before that was the...TAIWAN TRIP!
It was so long ago I'm not sure if can recall everything but here goes :)

Day 1: The plane landed in the afternoon and we checked into our hotel which is really cool cos it has this built-in jacuzzi and a ceiling which can be illuminated to look like this:

not bad eh~

after that, went to the  寧夏夜市 (ning sia ye shi) and I got hit by wave after wave of SMELLY TOFU ODOUR! Tried a piece and its like chewing solidified puke in your mouth fckin' gross. The smell stank my whole attire >.< Need I mention that its EVERYWHERE. Like idk they eat it all the time maybe? ew.

Anyway, the first thing I learnt about Taiwan (Taipei) is that its fucking clean. Yupp theres no other adjective for it. Everywhere the toilet is spotless and theres completely no smell. EVEN at Shilin night market which is like a mega pasar malam the toilet is still cleaner than any shopping mall in SG. They are all freakishly clean haha. Oh and the people are super nice. Please, the service in Taipei can put singapore to shame. The taiwanese are kinda like japanese hur. super polite. e.g. when you ask for directions they don't just point you there, they literally WALK you there. haha.

                                                            (Pics taken at e hotel)

Day 2: took this super long mountainous trip to 野柳 (ye liu) which took like one and half hour of being jolted around >.<
We went there to see the natural landscape:

Anyway, aparently wind plus human factors are eroding the sculptures so they might not be there anymore. And whats pissing is the china tourists always go beyond the safety boundaries so you will keep hearing the guards shouting and blowing their whistles. Furthermore, they take pictures with the entire family climbing ON TOP of the sculptures and posing with one leg leaning against them. No wonder the sculptures wont last >.<

Went to eat seafood too cause they have freshly hauled seafood :)

At night, we went to 士林夜市(shi lin night market)
After the second night, we shifted to this homestay apartment just to experience living there :)

Day 3: Overnight, the temperature dropped like 10 degrees to like 14-17 degree celsius? Brrr coldddd. Actually the temperature is alright. Its the seasonal winds thats the problem. They're super chilly Z.

In the morning we went to this market and bought lotsa strawberries which were damn sweet.

The left picture is the mini shabu shabu we ate at night :)

In the afternoon we took another super long journey to this place called porcelain street. Perhaps it was due to the fact that the road was super uneven plus we anyhow eat, we ended up kinda queasy and it was quite bad >.< slept away most of day 4 to recover =.=
Day 5: We went to Taipei 101 but its nothing much, just a huge mall.

After that, we went to:

At night, we went to Xi men ding which sells trendy apparel and ate this super nice mee sua. Oh wait, we went back again and ate it. Twice in the same day. Haha cause its really so damn good the thought of it can make you salivate :)

Ohoh, at Xi Men Ding theres this street artist who paints with spray can and his paintings are awesome!

Super detailed right?

Day 6: woke up early and headed to the airport to avoid rushing! Back to Singapore!

Sorry had to cut things short because this post is super long and tiring >.< HAHA.

Back to now, I'm not really looking forward to NS not because of the training but because I'll be deprived of my freedom. And, I'll miss bee plus my family the most. But oh well, I'll be sure to make the best of these 2 years! :)

Oh, I'm still quite indecisive about uni selection >.< HAHA.

Alright, got to go! =D
